How do I add money to my SBA Red Card?

Answer

The way in which you'll add funds depends on where you live. Please choose the option that best describes where you live:

1. LOADING A CARD WITH ONE ACCOUNT (for residents at Regent, Lucky, Gold Key, Brownlofts or Henry Gilman)

In Person or by Mail:
Add any amount at our service desks or by mail using a check made payable to SBA Management Services (add SBA Red Card in the memo line of your check). Cash (up to $50) is also accepted; it is best to bring exact change.

Online: www.redcardmealplan.com
Select "My Account" at the top – do not create a new account. Use the information on your card to Log In and to add funds.

Here's an online step-by-step:

  1. Select "Register Now" under "Register for Web Account Access"
  2. Fill out all the required fields. The information you need is printed on the front of your card.
  3. Once you have registered for online account access and created a username and password, you can log in anytime to add funds to your Red Card Meal Plan account, check your balance or suspend a lost card.

2. LOADING A CARD WITH TWO ACCOUNTS (for residents at Mansion Hill, University Heights, Highlander, our outside of downtown Madison)

You'll need to budget your money accordingly and load funds onto two separate accounts – your SBA Account and your Red Card Account – even though the SBA Red Card can be used to pay for services covered by both: Each account covers different items. Your Red Card Account covers restaurants, taxis, groceries, and laundry service from Lazybones. Your SBA Account includes laundry at your apartment.

  • You'll add funds to your Red Card Account in person, by mail, or online 
  • You'll funds to your SBA Account in person or by mail only
